lazy resolution

I shall shed this coat so drab
draped upon my beaten shoulders,
just you wait and see. And this
will happen when the sun comes to disturb
whatever dreams that happen to be
playing around elevenish,

and after the ingestion of
one more asinine article
quitting for sure no later than midnight
(intense missions ahead don’t you know).
And whence this coat so drab is shucked
– definitely after eating eggs

and bacon and toast to create
big envy in the stable-of-stable
taoist – by toast meaning really high
on the butter, like dripping down the thumb
– so after breakfast and then a shower,
a new life commences, just after lunch

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.
