Father forgive me for I am sinning all the time

not sinning too much these days – and it sucks, not sinning….

I’m not Orthodox.
Don’t keep up on
Catholic news.

The dominant church
in these parts is
Orthodox.
They/we are in Lent.

I’m not Orthodox
so I’m not obliged
to make any major
readjustments.

But I find it interesting.
Gave a shot at trying
the minimalist
dietary plan.
Lasted a couple days.
Very difficult
– but I could feel
benefits to it too.
Felt energized in the head.
Mood was upbeat.

The really tough part
is all that about thoughts
that venture into…
uh well let’s call it
amour on steroids.
And to fully comply
with this season’s
Orthodox strictures,

it is my understanding that when
coming to the confessional
to confess these thoughts,
all
of them must be confessed.

Now in a way though this cold front
that just swept in delays
the terasa umbrellas
from appearing, for the sake
of Lent it could be a move
of grace from…

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one.
