red alert

crisis is in play at the cinema
since the stagehands under executive
orders were directed to redesign
the insignia so that more red would
help the company cash in on passion
except placements have been detrimental

to the local pursuit of happiness
thanks to an insanity that dictates
minimal minutes a mind may labor
on an art of the utmost importance
because you see a celebrated star
certain all eyes shall notice nothing else

corrals as though in prosecution of
the holiest of all the holy wars
the mobility capability
of every cellular type of life
and rebels shall suffer suffocation
while sheep learn to obey the great myna

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one.
