damn right truth sets us free

Oh stop the simpering.
They we will term the snoots
only aim to appear
gigantic. Of course a price
is affixed for acts
they’ve trained us to call

overindulgence. By virtue
of a perverse lordship
over pages is passed the cup
swishing with never again
shall that cork squeak or so
many saucers of spicy

sauces stain a bib.
Oh grow up (which for the lame
the true translation
is here given: stay
juvenile). Yes you handle
the tab (the bussing crew

will thank you for generosity
in tipping). Crawl or stumble
to the lair for a season’s
retirement. Come back
for another round.
Never ever let them win.

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.
