ramble rehearsal

A mind’s size, or talk intent on belittlement
lurches along on clay so many
soulless hippos applied martian
shine to, or maybe they were just a few
hippos; records are shady, iffy,
on this detail and an explanation
or a simple explanatory sketch,
never came out too clear from what vision-shy
characters term a legendary swamp

world made to muddle all concepts
and objects out on an innocent
ramble, including words
grown weary from waiting in limbo
chambers or for the sake of concision,
a small mind may brim with millions
of swimming tetras and lions
and for all any earthling’s fathom
capacities can imagine,

a commune created by and for
guppy-scaled hippos – yes they’d
be aquatic hippos – may just have
themselves a happy little
borough; for all firm species know,
strawberry corals house thousands of grainy
nouns quite capable of engineering
underwater urban light shows
and those as mere revelry appetizers.

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.
