a few details about the poisonous paradise berries

this was not part of the paradise
pathway network spread with squishy
moisture. Its ground, the ground the poisonous
berries grew from, had sufficient

solidity yet clearly
plenty in fertility
powers for the poisonous
berries to coexist with they

of mentalities more mild-mannered;
less adventurous adventurers
such as those on family-friendly
outings. That’s why the paradise

beautification department
fixed heavier energies
thick in concern on the poisonous
berries there, for the poisonous berries

were pretty, the snowy white flavor
of pretty – and their skins oft leaked nectar.
“They are indeed pretty, these poisonous
berries, too pretty to eradicate.

What if we affixed in their vicinity
a slab or a plaque, with a written
warning though a warning written
so as to minimize alarm?”

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.
