let’s mess with colors

sure a few blues
are shady
but the solution
is to keep them off
lecture hall stages
and the lectern.
Blues are best used

for tunes blowing cool
so a red hawk hunting
for a lonely scream
at which Stan
the lazier raptor
stirred because of words
heard and he the realm

of birds deemed
and dubbed useless
could see the flaw
they were too busy
with works to see: this tail
is pure blue, and you’d see it
if you’d care to learn to read

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.
