though he’d been herbivorous
and I more an omni
the root or stem of stego
– well something about it, as tyrannical,
unless we examine tyrannical, who knows

that seed isn’t bequeathed to each
but anyway a stegosaurus
sort of dinosaur that never got
the extinction memo
– then again the tyrannous

might slide okay but pushing
a cocktail cart clumsily,
telling blue jokes to blue prudes,
or more like one blue joke
to two too many blue prudes who

are not tolerant nor frankly relevant
by the time porcelain ponies
crash on the tea table
and the stained virgin screams at the knight
about watching for beasts who should be

extinct but splinter the frames
and offend the dames raised on tofu
and folk tunes, please will someone escort
the fossil to the nearest truck stop
or head shop or throw a couple

Bronson cartridges down the hill,
maybe the cretin will trip
on a hint and study
how things are these days or else
jump in a big puddle of tar

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.

  1. Wonderfully imaginative expression, a joy to read.
