2014 #144

the pace now
is clearer
in recollection,
a world where wetness
from moisture

to downpour
makes itself at home;
back there in that Balkan-spiced slice
the speed setting was more intense
in rate (even the park

lake ducks quack
quicker) which was an alien
element to enter
but it never was the natural
and grafting could never be

expected to make much gain
or a settlement
into permanence; just listen
to newscasters; and the engines
barrel through lazier

than elsewhere scenes
convincingly phantom
– platoon; though not one platoon
only but a veritable platoon
company – meaning the lazy

phantom platoons – lost
in the clouds because of the cramming
for the ultimate class exam
for enthusiasts of the steps
in dancing jazzy

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.
