and then doing something like so

the river crisscrosses
possibly the county’s
hottest bottom

on which what runs
is around a cup
of ink where a well

is wanting to spit out decades
of butter that tastes

no better than gold
fools could not be bothered
bringing fresh biscuits

for the raven cookout crew
dressing down
a herd of hairy critters

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.

    • hey thanks for the visit and the kind word
well mainly I like to mess around and mess around and mess around, play with sounds and words and start at such and such point then see where that goes, look for associations, places to branch off, then look for places to exploit syllables and all the sounds and so on and so on…. yet never really knowing what will result; so I am glad to hear something I posted here ‘worked’ for someone.
      Again, thanks.
