that no one knows the way – or
some say they know of ways – but
they assume they know where we want to go
or maybe we still
have no idea or maybe
don’t really care; studies can corral
stray tassels into the preferred
clump and that’s all cool
but they don’t have to break all eardrums
while herding bystanders with plans
to hit a pub later for tummy-warming liquors
and raindrop studies; someday
to be lost in the forest at midnight
will not be fearsome.

About Timmy the Scribbler

Love to write all kinds of stuff I love writing so many different kinds of stuff it is a constant struggle to narrow the focus to a manageable handful and let the others go. But a few years ago I dipped my fingers into a poetry pie and of all my uncertainties, one thing that is no uncertainty is that it is one passion that must remain, so maybe that's the one. I do dearly delight in chopping up fictional works into stanzas and syllables.
